In addition, the course was designed by famed architect Robert Trent Jones Sr in 1970. Today, the Port Royal golf course is proud after a $ 14.5 million renovation, which completely revamped the course.

Design team member Roger Rulewich helped make the change for the 2009/10 PGA Golf Grand Slam. The Bermuda government was also involved in making the course, making it one of the few courses to actually have TifEagle greens.

What are TifEagle Greens?

TifEagle’s greens are a “state of the art irrigation system”, also offering ocean views from almost every hole on the course. The staff are also known to take the utmost care of their customers. For anyone learning, golf lessons with professionals on the course may be available. Lessons are available daily, many types of packages are available.

Another highlight of the course is its practice, which is 300 meters long with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. Of course, the site also offers the most luxurious clubhouse experience. That being said, one can also host various types of charitable and corporate events at the booth.

What challenges can we meet at the Golf de Port Royal?

As picturesque as the course is, you have to be careful from the start when playing on this course. While accuracy will always be the key, hazards like bunkers can easily challenge one in Bermuda. You have to concentrate to win, always be aware of the dangers of the water and thus hide. While most holes are easy and straightforward to look at, you need to think twice before approaching them.

Hole 1 itself is a straightforward challenge, with both sand and water ready to disrupt any player’s start. Although Hole 3 is short, it will still be difficult for most players, who need to bring their game to get through the course easily. Hole 6 gives players the opportunity for a good shot, but the bunkers are placed intelligently, which requires precise judgment to move.

Hole 8 is another difficult par-3 for golfers. One mistake, and the ocean awaits your ball. In the 15th, golfers need to drive well to the right, even the par over the hole is difficult to reach. The next hole – one of the most scenic in the world – is capable of fooling even the most experienced. The last hole requires players to hit a powerful tee shot, which will only make their job easier later on.
