Jordan Spieth has a massive sponsorship deal with Under Armor that runs until 2025. His outfit on the course strictly features the clothing of the Baltimore-based company. Additionally, he introduced a new trend in golf with his signature Under Armor shoes which are spikeless unlike most other golfers who prefer spikes.

Spikes are the most popular among golfers for one obvious reason – they provide a stable footing on the otherwise slippery exterior. However, in a game-changing design, they created spikeless shoes that are apparently just as effective as their counterparts. And Spieth, with his latest move, has proven their effectiveness.

Jordan Spieth finally switches to spikeless shoes

For much of the season Spieth wore the “Under Armor Spieth 5 SL E Golf Shoes”. Additionally, he has been seen to alternate between the two. However, according to ‘Spieth Legion‘on twitter, the 12-time PGA tour winner has officially made the transition.

They wrote, “Jordan officially went to full-time spikeless shoes. We’ve seen Jordan alternate between spiked and spiked shoes all summer long. I don’t know if Under Armor will make the Spiked version of future versions starting with the Spieth 6.

Moreover, they revealed that it is not sure whether the next iteration, that of Spieth 6, will have enriched versions or not. This is a major milestone in the advancement of spikeless shoes, as spiked shoes are widely regarded as superior to others.
