PINEHURST, North Carolina – Duke’s men’s golf team returns to North Carolina State for the Wake Forest Invitational, which begins Monday morning at No. 2 Pinehurst.

The 54-hole event played in the birthplace of American golf is scheduled for 36 holes of continuous play Monday with the final round on Tuesday. No. 2 Pinehurst, which has hosted three US Opens, a Ryder Cup and a PGA Championship, will play 7,125 yards (par 70) for the tournament.

Duke is joined by host Wake Forest, with Augusta, Clemson, East Tennessee State, East Carolina, Iowa, Kentucky, NC State, San Francisco and Yale in the event.

Second year Ian Sibers leads the Blue Devils into action, along with a freshman Luke SampleSenior quinn rileysecond jimmy zen and freshman Kelly Chinn complete the range. Duke is paired with Kentucky and Augusta for Monday’s action. Teams will leave starts 5, 6, 7 and 8 at 8:30 a.m. for a quick start.

Riley is coming off third at the Wolfpack Invitational last week at Lonnie Poole Golf Club where he shot a 1 of 145 for the 36-hole round. The Raleigh eldest also made the top-10 at the Watersound Invitational in late February.
