The Masters is just around the corner and with many brands releasing limited edition pieces for the first major edition of the year, Nike Golf has revealed the shoes the brand’s top athletes will wear at Augusta National.
Players such as Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Tony Finau and Jason Day will be wearing Nike’s latest collection, which while not an official Masters-themed range, it does feature new colourways to celebrate the Major Championship.
The Nike Masters NRG Pack includes three shoes, all using the new colourway; the Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 NRG, the Air Max 90 G NRG and the Air Zoom Infinity Tour NRG.
The new design of the three popular Nike shoes features a 100% recycled canvas upper, which creates a rougher look and feel with a raw finish.
The eco-friendly material is also used in the lace loops, as well as the canvas on the tongue of golf shoes.
Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 NRG
The speckled appearance of the crater foam in the forefoot is made from 10% recycled material, which also helps provide additional cushioning and stability, while the seven replaceable spikes are positioned to create a optimal balance throughout the swing.
Air Max 90G NRG
The new Air Max 90 G NRG is one of the greenest golf shoes the brand has ever created, with 100% recycled material used to create the tongue, collar and insole lining of the shoe. .
The recycled material can be seen in detail in the close-up image, which creates a stunning multi-color finish.
Air Zoom Infinity Tour NRG
The Air Zoom Infinity Tour is one of Nike’s most popular golf shoes ever to be released and the NRG Edition offers a unique new design using recycled materials, which is expected to be another huge hit with golfers around the world.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect is the sole of the shoe, with three large traction pieces used in place of traditional cleats.
