McLaren driver Lando Norris has been developing an intrigue for Golf lately. He can be found on the golf course a number of times when not driving. However, his presence on the course mostly translates into some fun moments for fans.

Recently, in a video shared by Mclaren, the Briton can be seen insolently cheating when his ball entered the pond. The Surrey-based team shared the video with a caption saying “No suspicious behavior on the golf course to be seen here… ”Lando has had similar moments with his former teammate Carlos Sainz, who also has a great interest in the sport.

After an eventful treble, F1 drivers have a week off before the next Saudi Arabian GP. Most drivers use this time to recharge their batteries before crucial races. Norris went to the golf course for what he thinks is “one of the best games in the world to play.” While trying his luck with Golf, he found himself ball in the pond.

In a fun moment that followed, he just pulled another out of his pocket and acted like he had never been to the pond. “Oh! Found it. See, I found it. Later in the game, he took a shot and completely missed it. “It was the practice, I didn’t even try to hit him” he said jokingly.

Sainz and Norris have formed one of the best team-mating duos of recent years on the grid. The bond they share is something dear to fans of the sport. Now, even though they’re on separate teams, that connection still exists. They took the start before the Sao Paulo GP and the Spaniard outclassed the Briton by the mile.

At a press conference, Sainz shared his “moment of glory”, as his former teammate called him. “We’ve been spending time together here in Brazil, since Monday, to be precise. We did manage to play a few rounds of golf, and I have to say Lando had the pleasure of witnessing one of the best rounds of golf he has ever seen as a golfer, thanks to my five [par] with five round birdies. I managed to beat him by a mile ”, noted the Spanish.

Lando graciously accepted that Sainz is a better golfer than he is and that his years of practice are “paying off”.
